Come visit and help us close the sustainability loop in the farm to table process. Can't make it here? We harvest then deliver our veggies direct to Schools, Restaurants, Retailers, Wholesalers, Food Banks and Residential doors through the Puget Sound.
OVER 60 ACRES OF PROTECTED FARMLAND
King County Farmland Preservation Program was started in 1979 when voters authorized the County to purchase agricultural development rights. This would ensure that the valuable resource of fertile land would continue to be used for food production, and not be paved over or built upon.
FROM FALLOW TO FARMING
What started as a field of weeds has been transformed into a field of food to support the desires of the local community to Eat Healthy, Local, and Organic. Sound Sustainable Farms is Certified Organic by WSDA and GAP certified for food safety. Everyone should know where their food comes from and how it's grown. We take this responsibility to heart. Farm Produce
Farming in the Pacific Northwest is a seasonal adventure requiring a deep knowledge of the continually changing climate. At Sound Sustainable Farms we strive to grow a wide variety of produce throughout the year. As part of our philosophy, we have a deep respect for nature’s ways, which is why our produce is farmed locally and responsibly. Reducing the distance from farm to table is key to ensuring you have the freshest produce available. Although we prioritize selling what is in season locally, we do source from other organic farms in the off-season to offer a year-round selection of produce at our Farm Stand. Sourcing produce is a big responsibility, which is why we build relationships and get to know our partner farms and suppliers.
